No Walking

So I actually talked to my best friend today.
Kinda weird that I only blogged about not hearing from her yesterday.

She filled me in on a few things going on in her life
And I filled her in about a few things going on in mine.
She wants to catch up, and so do I. So we'll see how it goes.

In other news, I had such trouble getting to sleep last night.
To top that off - my alarm went off early so I could take my dog for a walk.
When I got out of bed and had breakfast, I couldn't find her collar. Anywhere.
I bet you the little shit has hidden it.
So I couldn't walk her.

But I still really wanted to go for a walk, by the time I realised this - it was raining.
My day wasn't all that bad. I felt productive. I've been thinking about changing my room around.
I kinda want to make it look more like a bachelor pad, without the mess.
Is that weird?  Any ideas?

Also, Jen Cloher contacted me today asking for some design work.
She said she'd like to keep me around as their official designer. So that's real good news.

Hmm there's not much else to say about today.
I made myself tereaki stirfry tonight and experimented a bit.
It was nothing short of amazing.

On a final note, last night I went through my old posts on this thing.
And.. wow. I literally felt sick at how immature and illiterate I was at 14.
Plus some of the stuff I blogged about was incredibly lame and silly.

Okay so, give me ideas on how to change my room around?
I have blue walls that over the last couple of years I've tried desperately to cover up
with things like posters and big pieces of material.
I can't afford to paint it atm, and to be honest it's not my first priority either.
Ideas?

*waves hi*

I'd hate to read how immature I was at 14....no wait I still am *shrugs* It might be cringe worthy but still it's who you were at the time and for you to be who you are now you had to be that person then... er if that makes any sense.

Can't help with the decorations though. Anything I can think of will cost money :(

Yeah it totally was cringe worthy, but I guess I laughed a bit too.

Yeah if I didn't spend all my money on flights all the time, I would absolutely have enough to re-decorate my room entirely.

Hello!

Me at 14...wasn't very long ago but it's still scary to think of.
You should try taking down all of the stuff on the walls and seeing what it looks like bare.

I was thinking of doing that.
Will take some time though, there's a lot up there that I can't just rip down.

Also I'm a bit nervous about doing that too.
What if I hate the blue walls? Ergh.
We'll see.

Thanks :)

um, from a completely practical standpoint here, i had tapestries/sheets covering my walls and ceiling for a little while, took them down on a whim.. found loads of spiders. so, if you go for the big unveiling, have some paper towels, books, heavy shoes or your bugkiller of choice handy. i guess in retrospect that might sound obvious but i know i was not prepared for the bug slaying that was necessary.

as far as redoing the room, tetrising furniture around is always (at least temporarily) satisfying, if you haven't tried that already. if there's kind of a theme going with your stuff, run with it.. like the 'butch hunting lounge/cabin' thing my place has going on right now with its plaid couches and birdcall clock. i'm thinking a stuffed animal head on a plaque on the wall would really bring this place together. but you could say that about any room.

I'm planning on moving my furniture around again. I do that often actually.
Otherwise I get bored.

I'm not looking forward to the spider revealing.
Actually after reading this comment I've been too freaked out to even stand near my walls until I pull the material down. Eep!
